Meet the doctor
My name is Pieter Guldenmund, and I am a biologist. As a biomedical researcher, I studied the mysteries of consciousness using fancy brain imaging machines. After obtaining my Ph.D. in Liège, I worked as a street cleaner, researcher, tennis instructor, policy officer, cashier, call center employee, bid manager and archive clerk at various institutions. I’ve seen things. I am currently happy working at a university in Amsterdam.
I’m an INFJ. I am usually not a fan of putting people into boxes, especially myself, but this description of me has been very helpful. It is based on the so-called 16 personalities system; not perfect, but it does the job. I can now more easily accept that I am an oddity in this world, and it makes it so much easier to explain myself to those who really want to get to know me.
My goal for now is to reinvent myself. To really understand who I am, what I want, and what I need to get there. I hope you will join me on this journey of discovery. It’s going to be a bumpy ride!

Collaborations
Although I am an introvert, I do very much appreciate people around me. This of course refers to my family and friends, but also kind ‘strangers’. Some of them have a YT channel themselves, and have collaborated with me on a number of projects. I would like to mention them here below. Please do visit them:
